About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 5 years required License: Valid RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Trauma Level II experience - Patient ratio experience of 4:1 - Charting system experience Description: ER RN needed. Must have current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications. Every other weekend required. Five years of experience is required as per the manager. Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is between 50-70 patients. The unit has 12 rooms and 11 beds. Staffing ratios are maintained with 4 patients per nurse. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and unit secretary. Skills needed include BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, interpretation of arterial blood gases, and management of dysrhythmias. Weekend coverage is required, with three weekend shifts per week. No pre-approved time off is permitted during the contract. Candidates must complete onboarding requirements within specified time frames. Candidates must provide a complete work history verifying the previous seven years of employment.
