What You’ll Do Operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders, etc. Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture Crosstrain on multiple machines Attend training regarding applicable equipment Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition Perform additional duties as needed What You’ll Need Minimum 1 year working with heavy industrial environment experience preferred but not required Ability to operate fabrication machines in a safe manner without supervision Must be able to read technical documents and service manuals Able and willing to cross train as required Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the industrial field Ability to perform measurements with tape measures/calipers, etc Ability to use and understand basic linear measurements (i.e. feet, inches, decimals, and metric system) Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits Able to work overtime as business requires Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when needed Stand for long periods of time Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form are necessary to be successful in this role Bilingual Spanish preferred Your Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred We are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
