Senior Java Payments Developer

Salary: $104,000 - 114,400 per year Requirements:

• At least 8 years of strong Java backend development experience, including microservices, Kafka or MQ, cloud-native applications, and payment processing platforms.
• Hands-on backend engineering experience building scalable, high-performance banking applications, with strong payments expertise.
• Proficiency with Java 11, 17, or 21; Spring Boot; REST APIs; and microservices.
• Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps.
• Mandatory payments domain experience in one or more of the following: wire payments, RTP, Fedwire, SWIFT, ISO 20022, treasury payments, cross-border payments, payment hubs, or high-value transaction processing.

• Develop and maintain Java microservices and payment applications.
• Build scalable APIs and event-driven solutions.
• Contribute to payment modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support deployments and production issues, and drive continuous improvement.
