Job Overview:
We are seeking dependable and energetic Sanitation Workers / Drivers to support residential waste collection operations. This role operates as part of a 2-person truck crew where team members alternate between driving and waste collection duties throughout the route. This is a physically active outdoor role requiring strong stamina, teamwork, and commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate garbage trucks along assigned residential collection routes
• Alternate between driver and “pitcher” responsibilities during shifts
• Ride on the back of the truck and collect residential waste safely and efficiently
• Load waste materials into trucks and transport materials to disposal facilities
• Tag and identify bulk items requiring separate pickup scheduling
• Follow assigned routes and schedules using route maps and directions
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and maintained properly
• Perform light preventive maintenance on trucks as needed
• Follow OSHA safety standards and proper waste handling procedures
• Wear required PPE and comply with all workplace safety regulations
• Provide courteous and professional interaction with residents and the public
• Support emergency response duties if required

Required Qualifications:
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) required
• Current DOT Medical Card required
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience within the last 5 years
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly
• Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:
• Waste industry or sanitation experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and waste disposal regulations preferred

Physical Requirements:
• Repetitive heavy lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, and prolonged standing
• Ability to work 100% outdoors throughout the shift
• Ability to ride on the back of sanitation trucks safely during collection routes

Additional Information:
• Employees work most holidays except Thanksgiving and Christmas
• Attendance and performance will be reviewed after 90 days for potential permanent placement consideration
• All safety gear except steel toe boots will be provided by us
