• Stipend:$1,519/week
• Taxable:$.990/week
• OT:$80/hour

Local Pay:$2,142/week

• W2:$59.5/hour
• OT:$89.25/hour

Requirements-

• BLS(AHA)
• RN License in MA.
• 2+ years of RN psych experience.

Job Description

1. Unit Name: Epstein 5 Adult Psych.

2. Brief Unit Description: 30-bed unit, adults ages 18-65. We treat patients with diverse types of mental health issues (anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, dual diagnosis patients: Detox here on the unit while treating mental health issues), and some medically acute patients (IVs, CPAPs, Wound Care, diabetic care).

3. Years of Experience Required: 2 years minimum of inpatient adult psych experience.

4. Skill Sets Required: Proficient in using automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in the use of psychotropic medications and side effects. Able to assume the role of charge nurse; able to complete admissions and discharges. Competent in the use of IV pumps and care of diabetic patients.

5. Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 7 or 8 patients.

6. Patient Population: Adults ages 18 to 65 years.

7. Bed Count: 30.

8. EMR (Charting System): EPIC.

9. Floating Required: Yes.

10. Rotating Shifts Required: Yes, for Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p & 7p-7a). Rotation is not required for Night positions.

11. Certifications Required: Active Massachusetts RN License. AHA BLS.
