Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist operates imaging equipment to make images of designated portions of body as ordered by the physician. Positions and instructs the patient for radiological or fluoroscopic examinations, adjusts imaging equipment and determines the proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each image. May prepare patient for x-ray by administering contrast IV and non IV. Technologist focus on infant, children and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach.

Pay Range

Minimum $37.00 Midpoint $37.00 Maximum $38.00

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

Required: Experience working in an acute care setting.

Preferred: Three to five years working in an acute care, pediatric environment.

Education

Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Radiologic Technology.

Training

Required: None required.

Licensure

Required: CA Certified Radiologic Technician license. CA Fluoroscopy license - to be obtained within six (6) months of hire or transfer. Amer Reg Rad Tech (ARRT-R) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred: Venipuncture Certificate.

Work Environments - Functional Demand:

Sedentary - Very light energy level Lift 10 lbs. box overhead. Lift and carry 15 lbs. Push/pull 20 lbs. cart.
