The Distribution Center Supervisor oversees diverse material distribution duties to ensure timely and accurate receiving, shipping, inventory and material handling transactions both from an informational (data entry and communication) and a physical hands-on standpoint. Thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for the management & coordination of all distribution activities, operations, and communication with management to ensure conformance to established procedures, and plays an instrumental part in bringing clean, affordable, and modern energy to the world.Helps Soligent make a positive impact by:Managing daily operations to maximize productivity and meet daily operational goalsAssuring completion of daily cycle counts and all inbound and outbound warehouse operationsCoordinating warehouse activities in distribution processes in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy internal and external customer serviceIdentifying critical distribution issues and reports them to the appropriate business partnersSupervising all in- and outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing, and shippingSupervises & audits shipments prior to packing to ensure that goods match the orderEnsuring that proper equipment, manuals, and accessories are shipped with the correct orderManaging the preparation of shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring orderly filesSupervising delivery drivers inclusive of supporting with truck preparation and routing assignmentsEnsuring site compliance with key company standards of safety, facility maintenance, postings/notifications, and other administrative duties as identifiedImplementing company guidelines to create and maintain a safe working environmentCoordinating the scheduling of daily transportationManaging all receiving transactions and paperworkSupervising and assisting with the inspections of all incoming freight for damage; follows up with purchasing to resolve any damaged freight issuesCoordinating with the Soligent team to ensure maintenance of material inventory levelsMaintaining housekeeping standards and ensures that break room and office space is orderly and organizedInvestigating problems finds root causes and helps develop solutionsIdentifying, documenting, and implementing opportunities for continuous improvementMaintaining a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work areaPerforming other duties as assigned by the managerRequired Skills/Proficiencies: The DC Supervisor must have the following skills:A valid state driver's license is required5+ years DC warehouse supervisory experience1-3 years inventory control experienceActive In-depth Excel knowledgeProficiency with ERP systems- NetSuite preferredProficiency with WMS systemsAbility to maintain a commitment to excellence and high standardsAbility to act as a flexible and innovative contributorAbility to operate a Forklift and pass certification (existing certification preferred)Demonstrates versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmPhysical Demands: The DC Supervisor must have the abilityTo load/unload incoming and outgoing shipments in all types of adverse weather conditionsTo work in an environment in which temperatures may vary and noise level can be moderate to highTo hear oral communications by telephone and in personTo lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly without assistanceTo climb a ladder to a height of at least 20 feetTo wear appropriate safety equipmentMental Demands: The DC Supervisor must have the abilityTo give oral and written directions to team membersTo have close vision and ability to adjust focusTo work in a very busy environment subject to constant interruptionsTo work independently and as a member of various teams and committeesTo exercise strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsTo manage conflicting and simultaneous priorities and workflowTo interact with customers while maintaining calm demeanorTo understand and follow written and verbal instructionsTo practice sound judgment with the ability to make timely decisionsTo learn new tasks and skillsTo respond courteously and promptly to upper management demands or inquiriesTo be comfortable and at ease when speaking to vendors, and other employees of the Company with whom communication and coordination is essentialTo express a professional demeanor when representing the CompanyBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, HSA, FSA, Flexible PTO, Birth Leave, Bonding LeaveCalifornia Privacy Protection Notice
