Optometrist | South Bay Area, CA - Part-Time Mobile Vision Care

A community-focused healthcare organization is seeking a part-time Optometrist to provide comprehensive vision and ocular care through a mobile vision program serving communities in Gilroy and Fremont. Position Highlights Provide comprehensive vision and ocular examinations through a mobile vision program Diagnose and correct refractive errors, including myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and amblyopia Prescribe eyeglasses, corrective lenses, and ocular medications Order and interpret testing for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, macular degeneration, and other ocular disorders Evaluate patients for conditions such as hypertension and diabetes and coordinate referrals as appropriate Counsel patients on eye health and preventive care Co-manage ocular conditions within the scope of optometry and refer complex cases to specialists Maintain thorough clinical documentation and treatment plans Train and support assistants in optometric duties Participate in staff meetings, training, workshops, and special projects Provide care across Gilroy and Fremont as part of the mobile vision program Travel between service locations and community sites as needed Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school or college of optometry Current California optometry license and all required state credentials Board certified with TPA and TLG/TPG glaucoma certification 2 years of optometry experience preferred Bilingual skills preferred Compensation & Benefits $80.29–$86.81 per hour Additional benefits available Location & Lifestyle The region offers an exceptional blend of Silicon Valley amenities, Central Coast scenery, and year-round outdoor recreation.
