Position Overview Join the QuestaSim (Simulation) R&D team at Siemens EDA as a Principal Engineer and drive innovation in simulation technology. In this role, you'll architect cutting-edge algorithms and software solutions that power industry-leading simulation tools. Working alongside a senior group of engineers, you'll tackle complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of strategic initiatives from conception through delivery. Your technical expertise, problem-solving acumen, and leadership will directly shape the future of electronic design automation. Key Responsibilities Develop and architect cutting-edge algorithms and software design solutions for industry-leading simulation tools Lead the conceptualization, definition, and implementation of complex, open-ended problem scopes and innovative ideas Contribute to the development and enhancement of production-quality components, algorithms, and engines while improving existing codebases Solve complex software problems in collaboration with senior engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Apply technical expertise and analytical thinking to achieve project milestones and deliver high-quality software solutions Drive continuous improvement through self-motivation, discipline, and focus on achieving personal and team goals Qualifications 15–25 years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in architecting and implementing large-scale systems Strong proficiency in C/C++, data structures, and algorithms Deep expertise in compiler concepts and optimizations Proven experience working on UNIX and/or LINUX platforms Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a track record of delivering results independently Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution Why Us?
