Material Handler - HQ Final Assembly

Material HandlerEnvironmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a Material Handler to join our Manufacturing Team at our facility in High Point, North Carolina. In this role you will transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations within the manufacturing plant.Benefits:Weekly PayMedical, Dental, & Vision Insurance401(k) with generous company matchFree Basic Life InsuranceShort & Long-Term DisabilitySchedule: 1st Shift, 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessaryLocation: 250 Swathmore Ave, High Point, NC 27263Responsibilities:Receive, distribute, and store products as directed in designated, secure locationsPrepare and maintain records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent informationReview shipments for quality and accuracy; review accompanying documents for accuracyConfirm shipping details or special instructions; expedite shipments that affect the manufacturing process scheduleTransport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids)When problems arise, resolve issues with contractors or vendorsValidate, approve, and forward invoices to accounting departmentCollect and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintain a safe and clean work environmentOperate a forklift to safely and efficiently transport materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, or shelves, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads to prevent damage or accidentsSafety load, unload, stack, and transport materials within the facility and outdoor yard. Operate industrial forklifts (10,000 lbs. capacity or greater) to transport heavy and oversized steel frames.Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting pre-operational checks on the forkliftCollaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate activities, communicate any issues or concerns, and ensure timely delivery of materials to designated areasPerform other related duties as assignedEducation Requirements:Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience operating forklifts with a 10,000lb+ lifting capacity, specifically for long and heavy steel productsJob Requirements/Special Skills:Excellent verbal communication skillsAbility to speak and read either English or Spanish requiredStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to read blueprints preferredEfficient time management skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds at a timeAbility to stand and work for prolonged periods of timeAbility to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
