About the Position

Job Title: X-Ray Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: X-Ray Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (15:00 - 23:30); Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30) Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: X-Ray Tech License, Fluoro License Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: Competent in performing routine and specialized radiology procedures. Able to gain patient cooperation through effective communication. Knowledge of safety standards and practices in radiation exposure. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Description: The X-Ray Tech performs a variety of diagnostic radiographic examinations. Operates complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment. Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established time frames. Prepares for and assists physicians during a variety of radiological diagnostic and guidance imaging procedures. Explains procedures and associated biological effects to patients in a clear and professional manner. Mentors and fosters a constructive environment for the development of new technologists. Performs general clerical tasks such as updating patient appointments and electronic health records. Inventories and orders supplies to maintain established stock levels. Implements protection devices and safety standards to minimize radiation exposure to self and patients. Maintains a clean and safe working environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each procedure. Inspects and calibrates equipment accordingly for proper operation.
