Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Franklin, Indiana. The healthcare provider will deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department within an acute care setting, supporting triage and time-sensitive evaluations for a variety of emergency presentations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights (12 hours), minimum 36 hours per week; 6-week scheduling period with staff self-scheduling and manager balancing. Every 3rd weekend is required, and flexibility is needed for holiday coverage if required.
• Required Qualifications: Two (2) years of recent Emergency Department experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; license to submit.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
• Additional Information:
  • Emergency Department triage is performed by the assigned staff in the department; patients are managed with ER nursing care for ER holds.
  • Telemetry monitoring is available, and nursing staff monitor and read strips.
  • Orientation includes 12 shifts with a preceptor.
  • Floating may be required on a small chance basis; sitters and patient care support staff may be floated first.
  • Charting is completed using Cerner.
