Senior Financial Accountant
Taylor White
Senior Financial Accountant | Tampa Bay, FL | Competitive Compensation + Full Benefits
This is a high-visibility, analytically demanding role that goes well beyond standard close work. You will own complex fiduciary accounting, external reporting, cash management, and controls in a high-volume setting where precision and curiosity are expected every day. The finance team is gearing up for a major growth chapter that includes capital raising across both debt and equity, systems modernization, a reshaped org structure, and acquisitions, which makes this a rare platform for a high-potential CPA who wants to grow quickly and see the business from the inside. The strongest candidates will bring public accounting roots, strong data instincts, and exposure to a regulated environment or cash-handling responsibilities. Familiarity with regulatory reporting and with a cloud-based ERP in a high-volume operation will set you apart. If you want your best work to be both demanded and rewarded, keep reading.
Key Responsibilities
- *Run the full-cycle close for fiduciary accounting activity in a cloud-based ERP, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux and variance review.
- Own period-end cash and fiduciary balances, making sure every account ties out and every discrepancy is traced to its source.
- Build and send accurate, on-time external remittances and financial reports for outside partners, in line with regulatory and company requirements.
- Act as the connecting point between finance, operations, and outside counterparties, improving processes and supporting compliance with internal policies along the way.
- Reconcile and analyze large, multi-system data sets to validate financial information at scale.
- Turn the numbers into clear, actionable insight for senior leadership, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Help document and strengthen the internal control environment as the organization scales.
Requirements
- Active CPA. No exceptions.
- 2 to 5 years in accounting or finance, ideally from public accounting at a Big 4 or large national firm.
- Relentless attention to detail: you chase discrepancies to the root and do not stop until everything reconciles.
- Real data fluency with complex financial data across multiple systems.
- Comfort picking up new business software and AI-enabled tools to work efficiently.
- Executive presence: you can communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues, senior leaders, and outside parties.
- Self-directed project management, juggling competing priorities against firm deadlines.
- Well-documented, self-reviewed work and a high personal standard of accountability.
Why you'll love working here
- Real depth: fiduciary accounting, external reporting, controls, and cash management at meaningful scale.
- A front-row seat to a growth agenda that includes capital raises, acquisitions, system implementations, and restructuring, with this team leading the charge.
- A collaborative, high-performing finance team that prizes sharp questions and curiosity as much as technical credentials.
- Early and regular exposure to executives, investors, and outside counterparties.
- Competitive pay based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
