Role Description The Senior Human Resources Director is a full-time, on-site role located in Shreveport, LA. This position oversees all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and workforce planning to support a diverse team serving individuals with disabilities. The Senior Human Resources Director will manage HR policies and procedures, lead performance management processes, and provide guidance to supervisors on employee relations matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws, handling employee concerns, supporting professional development initiatives, and maintaining accurate HR records. The role also involves collaborating with organizational leadership on strategic HR initiatives, culture-building efforts, and programs that support staff engagement and retention. Qualifications Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) operations, including workforce planning and general HR administration. Ability to develop, interpret, and implement HR Policies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, coaching, and support for supervisors and staff. Experience with Performance Management processes, such as goal setting, evaluations, and feedback mechanisms. Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, including federal and Louisiana state regulations relevant to nonprofit organizations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Demonstrated leadership experience in HR, preferably in a nonprofit, healthcare, or social services setting. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) are beneficial. Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, and HR databases).
