Physician - Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Location: San Francisco, California
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
Pay Rate: $280 - $285/hr
Duration: 26 weeks with potential to extend
Position Overview:
- The facility needs a provider to cover 2 weekends/month plus the following Monday/Tuesday, or full-time weekday coverage in addition to the weekends.
- Patient Volume: 6-12 patients/day
- Patient Population: Adolescents
- EMR: Epic
Shift Times:
- Monday/Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on-site, followed by night call until 8:00 AM
- Weekends: Generally 6 hours of rounding starting at 8:00 AM. Once rounding is complete, the provider is on call until 8:00 AM the following day.
Call Requirements:
- Night call Monday/Tuesday, plus 24-hour coverage and rounding on weekends
- For night call, the provider is expected to place admission orders for any accepted patients who arrive during that shift.
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $280 - $285/hr
- Night On-Call: $600/night
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, or Board Certified in General Psychiatry with a completed Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship
- Strong background in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy for children and adolescents
- Experience managing challenging behaviors and leading multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with legal, educational, and safeguarding considerations for minors
