Travel RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel RN to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. The role involves providing exceptional nursing care to patients with varying medical needs in an acute care setting.

Shift Details

• Shift Hours: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Patient Ratios: 4:1, flexing up to 5:1 during staffing shortages

Unit Information

• Location: Denton, TX
• Number of Beds: 25
• Number of Staff: 54 FTE
• Equipment Utilized: Bipap, restraints, Airvo, seizure precautions, bedside monitoring, tele
• EMR: Meditech

Qualifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification

Preferred qualifications include:

• Preceptor experience
• Charge nurse experience

Typical Procedures

• Emergent thoracentesis
• Tele monitoring
