Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, triaging patients based on urgency and severity of their conditions.
• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, responding quickly to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as ordered, monitoring for side effects and adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
• Assist with emergency procedures, including intubations, wound care, and resuscitation efforts.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
• Maintain patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
• Follow established protocols for infection control, patient safety, and emergency interventions.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families in stressful, high-stakes situations.
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on best practices in emergency nursing.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an emergency room or critical care setting preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
