Visitor Control Center Technician

In Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) we support the men and women in uniform and provide every kind of support service needed to fulfill the Air Force mission. Job Duties In this position you will process various security related documentation and requests for issuance of identification credentials and restricted area badges. Salary Salary Range is $40,331 - $65,373 Annually based on experience. Knowledge of security requirements and processes for obtaining access to controlled areas. Knowledge of one or more automated databases associated with a specific security function to support office and security operations and produce a variety of documents and reports. Ability to plan and organize work, follow instructions, and accomplish multiple ongoing projects. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, using a high degree of tact and diplomacy. Knowledge of the rights of detained individuals and organizational rules regarding the appropriate use of force to be used in the apprehension of persons. U.S. citizenship required. Must be of legal work age. The employee is required to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance. The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Typing and computer operation is performed, however a qualified typist is not required. This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
