Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Upstate New York

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Upstate New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM shift. Block scheduling subject to facility needs. Floating to other units may be required.

Highlights:

• 64-bed Emergency Department with dedicated Triage, Acute Care, Super Track, Trauma, Clinical Decision Unit, and Psychiatric areas
• Diverse case mix including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Full lifespan patient population: newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• EPIC EMR system in use
• Specialty equipment experience with Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun therapeutic hypothermia devices
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license (verified via Nursys)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience with pediatric patient exposure
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Proficiency with critical drips and medications including pressors (Levophed, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, Nitroglycerin), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine), sedation agents (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), plus TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must reside at least 75 miles from facility location or accept local rate if within 75 miles
• Valid driver's license
