As an engineer on this team, you will design, develop, and test simulations of our custom hardware. Our team plays a key role in hardware-software co-design, enabling early development of the full software stack.Join us to shape the future of AI hardware abstraction and optimization!What You'll Do HereDesign and implement a Rust-based chip simulator, building a cycle-accurate model of our custom hardwareCollaborate with simulator customers: architecture, verification/validation, compiler, and runtime teamsWork closely with hardware architects, building models that shape the silicon designBuild tooling and infrastructure to aid in efficient correlation, debug, and testing Use AI development tools to accelerate your workWho You AreBachelor of Computer Science or an equivalent degreeSkilled in Rust, or strongly interested in ramping upOutstanding software engineering skills, with a focus on maintainability and performanceStrong foundation in computer architecture fundamentalsExcellent cross-functional communication skillsAble to work from our Mountain View, CA office three days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) as part of this hybrid roleBonus Points If You HaveExperience writing cycle-accurate simulatorsDeep knowledge of ML accelerator architecturesExperience with benchmarking and optimizing Rust codeFamiliarity with processor, memory, and networking architecturesAn understanding of power, performance, and cost tradeoffsCompensationThe US base salary for this full-time position is determined based on a variety of factors including role, experience, location, job related skills, and relevant education and training.
