Gynecologist – Women's Health Physician (Outpatient Only, No Obstetrics)

Licensed and Live: Maryland, Washington, DC, or Virginia (DMV)

Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor | Per Diem

Schedule: Starting at approximately 6 hours per week with opportunities to increase as patient volume grows. Services will be provided both virtually and in person.

DiscoverU Health is a new prevention-focused healthcare practice redefining how women experience healthcare. We are building a multidisciplinary team of providers who believe healthcare should be proactive, personalized, relationship-centered, and centered around prevention rather than simply treating illness.

We are currently hiring for Fall 2026 and are seeking an experienced Gynecologist who is passionate about helping women ages 18 and older achieve lifelong wellness through education, prevention, early detection, and compassionate care.

This position is strictly outpatient and does not include obstetrics, labor and delivery, or hospital call responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient gynecologic care for women ages 18 and older.
• Perform annual wellness examinations and preventive screenings.
• Diagnose and manage common gynecologic conditions including abnormal uterine bleeding, PCOS, endometriosis, menopause, perimenopause, pelvic pain, vaginal infections, and sexual health concerns.
• Perform office-based gynecologic procedures within your scope of practice.
• Provide contraception counseling and management, including IUD and contraceptive implant services if trained.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that emphasize prevention, education, and long-term wellness.
• Collaborate closely with primary care providers, behavioral health providers, specialists, and community partners to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Deliver exceptional patient experiences through both virtual and in‑person visits.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Serve as a trusted advocate for women's health while helping patients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Active medical license in Maryland, Washington, DC, and/or Virginia. Preference will be given to physicians licensed throughout the DMV.
• Currently credentialed and in network with commercial and/or government insurance payers.
• Active DEA registration.
• Maintain your own professional malpractice insurance.
• Experience providing outpatient gynecologic care.
• Excellent verbal, written, digital, and in‑person communication skills.
• Strong clinical judgment with exceptional attention to detail.
• Passion for prevention, patient education, and improving women's health outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external healthcare providers.
• Willingness to think creatively, contribute new ideas, and help shape innovative models of care.
• Growth mindset with a desire to leverage your knowledge, skills, and experience to support the growth of the organization.
