Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering adapted curriculum instruction tailored to individual student needs.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive IEPs.
• Establishing and maintaining classroom routines and effective behavioral support strategies.
• Collaborating with paraprofessionals, related services, and families for comprehensive student support.
• Collecting and analyzing data to track progress and inform instructional adjustments.
• Differentiating instruction and fostering functional communication, social, and behavioral skills.

Essential qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working directly with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Expertise in IEP development and classroom management.
• Solid skills in behavior intervention and supporting students with adaptive needs.

Preferred experience:

• Certification or significant experience with adapted curriculum.
• Practical knowledge of ABA, structured teaching, visual supports, and augmentative/functional communication tools.
• Experience supporting students with complex cognitive delays and managing paraprofessional staff in a self-contained setting.

To move forward in the interview process, three recent reference checks are required, including one from a recent direct supervisor.

This contract position is full-time and begins with the 26/27 school year. The assignment is located near Loganville, GA, and involves working closely with elementary-age students requiring intensive, individualized support.
