Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) Locum Tenens Opportunity Meridian, Mississippi Day or Night Shifts Available Closed ICU Epic EMR Ongoing Coverage Need
WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Hospitalists for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Meridian, Mississippi. This assignment offers flexible scheduling, collaborative physician and APP support, and the opportunity to work within a well-established hospital medicine program.
Assignment Highlights- Coverage Type: Locum Tenens
- Commitment: Minimum 7 Shifts Per Month; Up to 20 Shifts Available
- Schedule: Days or Nights Available
- Setting: Inpatient Hospital Medicine
- ICU: Closed ICU
- EMR: Epic
- Credentialing: Ongoing Coverage Need
WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking Hospitalist physicians to provide inpatient coverage in a collaborative team environment. Providers will manage hospitalized patients, coordinate care with specialists and APPs, and participate in multidisciplinary patient management.
This opportunity is ideal for physicians seeking schedule flexibility and a supportive practice setting with established hospitalist coverage.
Coverage Model Day Coverage (7:00 AM 5:00 PM)- 2 Hospitalist Physicians
- 2 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants
- 2 Hospitalist Physicians
- 2 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants
- 1 Hospitalist Physician
- 1 Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (6:00 PM 4:00 AM)
- Inpatient hospital medicine coverage
- Admissions and ongoing patient management
- Daily rounding and care coordination
- Collaboration with consulting specialists
- Participation in multidisciplinary treatment planning
- Documentation and patient management utilizing Epic EMR
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in:
- Internal Medicine
- Family Medicine
- Emergency Medicine
- ACLS Certification Required
- Active Medical License Preferred
- Hospital Medicine Experience Preferred
- EMR: Epic
- Flexible Day or Night Scheduling
- Ongoing Assignment Stability
- Closed ICU Model
