Our commitment to employee empowerment and engagement ensures that every team member can achieve their full potential in an inclusive and collaborative environment.Primary Purpose of PositionTo work within the Die Cast Department to efficiently and effectively set-up and operate equipment within a die cast cell to ensure a quality product is produced and delivered that consistently satisfies or exceeds our customer's expectation. ResponsibilitiesMaintains a safe and clean workplace - The foundry goal is zero lost time accident and no housekeeping (audit) complaints.Quality Performance - The foundry goal is zero discrepancies at the user plants, process checklists will be utilized to monitor and track process stabilityUptime improvements - The foundry goal is 90% equipment utilization.To maintain oxide levels that meet or exceed the standards specified by the customer.Scrap and material utilization - Dross and other melt losses are to be weekly, target < 7.0% melt loss.Education, experience, skillsParticipate in Continuous Improvement activities that will focus on waste elimination, improved health and safety, and ultimately cost reductionsImprove educational standards by attending all planned training programsAbility to operate lift truck and overhead craneMust have regular and punctual attendanceMust be able to follow directions of a supervisorMust be cooperative with other employeesMust be quality conscious with an emphasis on operating to the Work InstructionBe familiar with hydraulics and pneumatics or willingness to learn.Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing, effectivelyAbility to work independently or in a team environmentAbility to communicate, educate and coach new team membersFluent in EnglishWhy work for Meridian Lightweight Technologies?At Meridian Lightweight Technologies, you'll be part of a team that is shaping the future of lightweight automotive manufacturing.
