Travel RN – Neuro Stepdown (Nights)

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (19:00–07:30) | 13-Week Assignment | 36 or 48 Hours Weekly Guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups on a Neuro Stepdown unit
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Manage patients presenting with neurological disorders, strokes, and trauma, including those with chest tubes and subdural drains
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards
• May be floated within the service line to Cardiac Stepdown, Surgical Stepdown, or Medical Stepdown as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license meeting eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri, or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Stepdown experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, and turn patients with assistance; push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neuro and trauma experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Experience with hard-wired monitoring, chest tubes, and subdural drains
