We work every day for a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families.Program Description: Our vibrant Older Adult Center/Home Delivered Meals helps older members of the community live life to the fullest by providing case management, support services and activities to more than 3,000 center members. Birthdays, holiday parties and other social events strengthen the sense of community. Our hot lunches provide vital nutrition support at an affordable price. Our older adults are actively involved in the center, so services and activities reflect their needs and interests.Position Summary: The Program Associate will be responsible for the administrative tasks of the Food and Nutrition Department/OAC in support of the HDM Manager in working with data entry, compliance, policies, and procedures of the department. The Program Associate will be responsible for collaborating daily with staff, clients, and volunteers. The Program Associate will provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships internally and externally, including delivering volunteer orientation meetings.Schedule: Monday through Friday 35 hours per week.Hourly Rate: $21.33Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate's number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential DutiesWork with the Director of the HDM and OAC to ensure a high-quality volunteer experience, focusing on greeting volunteers, hospitality, troubleshooting issues, and delivering volunteer orientations to groups of various sizes and backgrounds.Assist with preparation and updating of variety of documents to communicate information in a timely fashion in line with compliance requirements to meet contractual goals.Intermediate Excel proficiency; you've worked in Excel previously and know how to filter and sort data, as well as some basic formulasAble to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and professional mannerAbility to work with a high level of accuracyAbility to work under pressure/multitask and meet deadlinesInputs appropriate data in the prescribed format, utilizing basic knowledge of computer software or systems.Cross-references data to ensure accuracy and completeness; scans and edits for errors during entry.Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information, establishing entry priorities.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededUpdate databases or records with new information as it becomes availableCorrect and modify inaccurate files and recordsCreate and organize spreadsheets with large numbersProtect the information and identities of customers/clientsOrganizing paper formats, paper backups, and material source files as neededPerforms other duties as required.Qualifications & Educational RequirementsHigh school diplomaExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly of Excel spreadsheetsKnowledge of Peerplace and SQL a plusStrong attention to detailAble to quickly and accurately type and enter dataExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIn-depth understanding of databasesWork Environment(indoor/outdoor)Employee BenefitsMedical/Dental/VisionLife Insurance/Commuter benefits/Employee Assistance Program (EAP)/Flexible Spending Accounts403B Thrift Retirement Plan12 Annual Sick Days12 Agency Holidays20 Days or 4 Weeks of Paid Time off and an additional week (5) days after 5 years of employmentTotal of more than 6 weeks (a month and half) of paid time offWe are committed to building an inclusive workplace community grounded in respect for differences.
