About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Technologist Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Must have a valid state license Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab - Experience with IABP and IVUS Description: The Cath Lab is equipped with 7 suites, including 2 cath labs. The average number of cases per day ranges from 2 to 9, with an average of 4-5. Technology utilized includes Cupid, EPIC, and Dynamics systems. The team consists of a Resource Nurse who manages the flow of the day and assignments but may also assist in cases if needed. Technologists will work closely with Cardiologists, who are available on-call 24/7. The pharmacy is available 24/7 for medication requirements. Scrubs are provided, with specific colors designated for different roles. Common procedures include cardiac catheterization, PCI, and device placements, focusing on adults. Familiarity with the Acist injector is preferred, but training will be provided. Weekend and call requirements will apply, with a response time expected. This role may require floating to non-invasive cardiovascular roles to assist as needed. All candidates must provide an unexpired copy of their driver's license. A COVID vaccine is required unless a medical or religious exemption is provided. Any background issues must be disclosed at the time of submission.
