Job Description
The assembly line worker operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment, assembling small to mid-sized snow blowers and lawn mowers. The role combines structured training with on-the-job learning and requires the ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards. This position is well-suited for individuals who enjoy hands-on mechanical work, can stay calm under time pressure, and are comfortable being on their feet throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
- Assemble small to mid-sized snow blowers and lawn mowers on a production line according to standard work instructions.
- Participate in a three-day orientation and training program, then continue to learn and improve through on-the-job experience.
- Prepare components by gathering and inspecting parts such as frames, gearboxes, handles, augers, wheels, and engine mounts for defects or inconsistencies.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and torque equipment to assemble auger housings for snow blowers, deck assemblies for lawn mowers, and handlebar and control systems.
- Follow detailed assembly procedures to ensure correct fit, alignment, and secure fastening of all components.
- Perform quality checks by verifying alignment, torque specifications, and overall fit to ensure assemblies meet required standards.
- Document completed work by following standard work instructions and maintaining accurate records of assemblies.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols while assembling equipment and operating tools.
- Collaborate closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily and weekly production targets.
- Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining focus on quality and efficiency.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by following best practices and supporting cross-training efforts.
Essential Skills
- Ability to stand and/or walk continuously for 8–10 hours per shift.
- Manual dexterity to position parts accurately, perform fine manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.
- Physical ability to bend, twist, and lift at waist level as part of regular assembly tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs frequently during the shift.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and meet time-based production requirements without becoming overly stressed.
- Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Willingness to follow standard work instructions, safety procedures, and production guidelines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior assembly or mechanical assembly experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience reading or working with blueprints is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools is preferred but not required.
- Experience in shop class, woodworking, or similar hands-on projects is beneficial.
- Experience assembling furniture or completing do-it-yourself projects at home is a plus.
- Interest in learning manufacturing processes and improving technical skills over time.

Work Environment
The role is based on a fast-paced manufacturing floor with a strong emphasis on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 2:30 PM to 12:30 AM, providing a four-day workweek with longer shifts. Work involves repetitive assembly tasks and frequent use of hand tools, power tools, and torque equipment, with opportunities for cross-training in different areas of the production line. Employees are expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols throughout the shift.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $45760.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
