Position Overview

A well-established automotive dealership is seeking a high-level Fixed Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the dealership's Service and Parts operations. This position will play a key role in driving overall fixed operations profitability, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and long-term departmental growth.

The ideal candidate will be a proven automotive leader with strong financial and operational knowledge who can develop teams, improve processes, analyze performance, and hold department leadership accountable to results.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic leadership for the dealership's Service and Parts operations
• Oversee departmental profitability, revenue growth, expense management, and overall financial performance
• Establish performance goals, KPIs, budgets, and operational strategies
• Analyze financial statements and departmental performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
• Develop and implement strategies to increase customer retention, service traffic, parts sales, and overall fixed operations revenue
• Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and leadership personnel
• Establish accountability standards and monitor performance against departmental objectives
• Evaluate staffing, organizational structure, compensation, and productivity to maximize departmental performance
• Ensure effective processes are in place for customer-pay, warranty, and internal repair operations
• Oversee parts inventory management, purchasing, pricing, and profitability
• Partner with dealership leadership on strategic planning and overall business performance
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, dealership policies, and applicable regulations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across fixed operations
• Monitor customer satisfaction and develop strategies to improve the overall customer experience
• Review and approve departmental processes, policies, and procedures
• Assist with recruiting, developing, and retaining top-performing personnel
• Serve as a senior leadership resource for operational issues, performance challenges, and business decisions

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive automotive dealership management experience preferred
• Significant experience in Service, Parts, and/or Fixed Operations leadership
• Proven track record of managing profitable automotive fixed operations
• Strong understanding of dealership financial statements, departmental KPIs, and profitability metrics
• Demonstrated ability to lead managers and develop high-performing teams
• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial and operational data
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and strategic planning
• Strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to lead through change and implement operational improvements
• Strong customer service focus with a results-oriented leadership style
• Proficiency with dealership management systems and Microsoft Office
