Responsibilities
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and ongoing reassessments per policy for all patients, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Adjust the plan of care based on patient response to treatment; evaluate and revise the standard of care daily as indicated.
- Develop and evaluate teaching plans, involving family as appropriate; educate patients and families on pain management strategies.
- Assist physicians with procedures and provide skilled nursing care and procedures within licensure scope; operate equipment safely.
- Communicate clearly with the Nurse Manager, colleagues, physicians, and other healthcare professionals; coordinate with social services/discharge planning for in-hospital and post-discharge needs.
- Document care in accordance with current standards; address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs; maintain patient confidentiality; liaise with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
- Manage and supervise patient care as permitted within licensure; foster professional relationships within the department and with other units.

Requirements
- Active RN license in New Mexico (or eligibility per state requirements)
- Ability to work the 3x12 night shift and adapt to a night schedule
- Current CPR/BLS certification or equivalent
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to document accurately and maintain patient confidentiality
- Comfort working in a fast-paced inpatient setting with diverse age groups
