Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | Variable start times: 7:00 or 9:00

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in an acute care hospital operating room setting, including trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic cases
• Participate in on-call rotations distributed equally among nursing staff, occurring approximately every 6 weeks and potentially including up to 6–8 shifts per 6-week period (including nights, evenings, and weekends)
• Float between like units within the facility or to affiliate hospitals nearby as directed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including holiday coverage (must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• Occasionally cover night shifts as operationally needed within the contract period

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience, with demonstrated experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic specialties
• Valid, active California RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Availability for weekend shifts as required
• Willingness to participate in on-call assignments, including nights, evenings, and weekends

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with floating to sister or affiliate facilities
• Ability to adapt to variable start times and scheduling flexibility
