Job Description Retail Store Team Leader (Part‑Time) – Staten Island, NY Join the LEGO® Brand Retail team as a part‑time Team Leader and be a role model while providing a brand experience for our customers. This role involves training the team to exceed high standards of customer service, product knowledge, and sales. Key Responsibilities Maximize profitable sales by regularly reviewing sales and margin information. Assist in ensuring appropriate and effective space‑management techniques are utilized. Maintain the Store graphics system (including pricing) to focus on customer service and profitable sales. Ensure all fixtures are always replenished. Evaluate and communicate competitor visual merchandising techniques, identifying opportunities to grow the business. Train Sales Associates on visual merchandising techniques according to LEGO® Brand Retail guidelines. Motivate and develop a high‑performance team by sharing the LEGO® Brand, Vision and Values. Deliver inspirational retail experiences built on LEGO Brand values. Assist the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) and Store Manager (SM) in maintaining holiday, attendance, and team scheduling. Effectively supervise Sales Associates during shifts, addressing issues according to LEGO policies and procedures. Complete orders for store and office supplies in line with guidelines and operating budgets. Ensure money‑handling procedures are followed by all Sales Associates. Maintain a well‑organized stockroom and ensure all available products are merchandised on the shop floor and loss‑prevention targets are achieved. Assist the ASM and SM in achieving a high standard of merchandise presentation following store guidelines. Qualifications Leadership and/or management experience in a retail store environment. Experience delivering employee training. Cash handling and inventory/sales auditing skills. Familiarity with point‑of‑sale automated systems. Experience with merchandise maintenance and visual merchandising. Physical ability to continually move, talk, hear, reach, grasp, and stand for at least two consecutive hours; may involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Availability to work up to 30 hours per week (requiring at least 30 hours of availability). Compensation The hourly wage for this position ranges from $22.79 to $24.19 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints.
