Product P&L Analyst

SUMMARY Overview of the positionA mid-level position in the finance department responsible for providing ground-level support to the financial analysis team reporting to the Senior Finance Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to describe the general nature of the level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.Create, maintain, and analyze profit and loss forecasts for portfolio products during all stages of the development cycle (from initial concept, throughout production, to market release). Perform comparative analyses and monitor variances between forecasts and actual results to identify and accurately explain trends, issues, and opportunities.Utilize financial models in conjunction with collected data to provide active decision support to the management team.Assist with annual and quarterly forecasting, including the development of the Annual Operating Plan.Update and distribute the company’s monthly Margin Comparison report.Ad hoc requests, special projects, and other duties, as necessary.EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or other quantitative field, or equivalent experience.1-2 years experience with financial modeling and analysis preferred.REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
