Copper Vine has been part of downtown New Orleans for nearly five years. Now we are expanding into Copper Vine Wine Pub & Inn.

We are adding event spaces, guest rooms, a club, rooftop lounge, and three new kitchens. With that growth comes new opportunity, and we are looking for people who want to help build what comes next.

At Copper Vine, our kitchen culture is positive, professional, and growth-focused. There is no room for ego or pretension. We believe in clear communication, high standards, and developing our people. Our goal is to build future leaders as we continue to expand.

We are looking for a skilled Chef de Tournant for our polished casual, full-service concept. This role requires someone who can motivate, train, and develop line-level cooks while maintaining exceptional food quality, labor, and cost control.

Chef de Tournant is more than a title. You are a leader on the line and an example for the team. You directly impact our guests, our business, and the culture of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Support and coach line cooks during service
Serve as the bridge between Sous Chefs and line-level staff
Fill gaps on any station and provide relief where needed
Run the hotline in the absence of a Sous Chef
Teach, coach, and develop less experienced cooks
Maintain the highest standards for food quality, safety, and cleanliness
Help manage prep, organization, and critical controls
Continue building your own leadership and management skills

Professional appearance and strong communication skills
Punctual, self-motivated, and organized
Strong sense of urgency and time management
Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
Adaptable, patient, and able to teach others effectively
Thorough knowledge of recipes, specs, and kitchen responsibilities
Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive attitude

Scheduling Requirements This role requires a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Chef de Tournant team members generally average 40 hours per week.
