The role involves performing blood collections, processing billing information, maintaining logs, and providing exceptional customer service. Candidates must have a Nevada state-issued laboratory assistant license or be in the process of obtaining one, along with a preferred minimum of 3 months of phlebotomy experience. The pay range for this position is $17.75 to $27.69 per hour, depending on skills and relevant experience. Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 604 West Washington Street Suite E-F Carson City, NV 89703. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm and rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities: Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications: Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license. Preferred Qualifications: 3 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards: In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
