Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Compensation: $15$25 per hour, depending on experience

About the Role
Mancan Staffing is assisting a local client in their search for a Physical Security Systems Technician to join their field services team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone interested in building a career in the security integration and low-voltage industry.
The technician will assist with the installation of commercial security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and low-voltage cabling. This position is ideal for someone with basic electrical knowledge, strong mechanical skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within a technical trade.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced technicians while gaining valuable hands-on experience, industry knowledge, and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities
Assist with installation of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and low-voltage systems
Run, pull, and terminate low-voltage cabling according to project plans and safety standards
Install devices including cameras, card readers, door hardware, sensors, and control panels
Perform basic electrical connections and testing of installed equipment
Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and installation instructions
Safely operate hand tools and power tools
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Support lead installers and project managers during installations
Learn company products, systems, and installation procedures
Follow all safety guidelines and company policies while working on job sites

Qualifications
Required:
Basic electrical skills and understanding of low-voltage wiring
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and elevated surfaces
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn

Preferred:
Experience in security systems, low-voltage, electrical, construction, or related fields
Active electrical, alarm, or low-voltage license
Familiarity with access control systems, cameras, or alarm systems
Travel & Schedule
Position requires weekly travel to job sites
Per diem is provided, and hotel/lodging expenses are covered while traveling
Some projects may require a 14-day-on / 7-day-off rotation schedule
