Position Overview:

Main Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Resident Services Department staff, including Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.s).
• Assist in managing the medication program and support residents in self-administering their medications.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare providers.
• Notify the Executive Director/Resident Services Director of any significant incidents or changes in residents' needs.
• Assist in completing resident assessments and developing service plans.
• Support clinical assessments and recertifications in accordance with ALSA standards.
• Help the Resident Services Director with hiring and performance management within the department.
• Participate in training and orientation for new team members.
• Engage in scheduled in-service training programs and team meetings.
• Assist with the scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as required.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to staff in the Resident Services Department as necessary.
• Support residents and their families to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
• Supervise RSA staff during care provision.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the relevant state(s).
• Certification in basic first aid and CPR.
• A minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
• Preferred experience in assisted living or long-term care environments.
• A background or special interest in working with seniors is advantageous.
