NBC4 is seeking a Platform Manager (Newscast Producer) who will be responsible for producing newscasts, breaking news and special events across all the station’s linear and online platforms. We are looking for a rockstar producer who is full of ideas and creativity who can take a show or a project from pitch to production. Newscast Producer Role Type Full-time Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience producing a high-quality, daily newscast under tight deadlines in a major market Must be willing and able to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts as assigned and when necessary to meet operational demands Strong experience with writing, producing, and desktop editing including systems like Dalet and Adobe Premiere Proficiency in newsroom production software and broadcast technology Eligibility Requirements Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. Must be 18 years or greater. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA Desired Characteristics Strong news judgment and connection to local communities with preferred Los Angeles market experience Innovative and quick to learn new tools and technology Fast, accurate producer who thrives on deadline Highly organized self-starter with strong time management, attention to detail, and prioritization Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills Strong research, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills Calm leader in a crisis or breaking news Additional Requirements: Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
