Pharmacotherapy Specialist - Pharmacy Research

DescriptionThe Pharmacotherapy Specialist is a clinical pharmacist with advanced expertise in managing complex medication therapies for hospitalized and clinic patients who cross the continuum of care. This role focuses on optimizing pharmacologic treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based care across various inpatient units and crosses care to patient in the outpatient clinical space. The specialist ensures optimal therapeutic outcomes through individualized patient care and clinical leadership As an expert practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, and clinical leader, the Pharmacotherapy Specialist contributes to high‑quality patient outcomes, advances pharmacy practice, and supports the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital. QualificationsDoctorate Degree PharmacyLicense/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State - PharmacistPharmacy degree (Pharm.D) from an accredited college of pharmacy. Completion of a PGY2 pharmacy residency accredited by ASHP in relevant environment, or equivalent work experience in specialty area, required. At least 5 years of clinical practice in a hospital setting. Residency training contributes towards this requirement.
