Site Reliability Engineer - - Electronic Trading Team

Overview We are evolving our Reliability Engineering team to move beyond support and operations. As a Senior Engineer in Site Reliability, you will have full ownership of the availability, performance, and scalability of one of the most critical shared services at LSEG. This role centers on the high‑performance FX trading platform—technology used by major financial institutions around the world—ensuring robust, secure, scalable, and highly available trading systems. Responsibilities Own and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the systems you support. Continuously measure and improve availability and overall system health. Develop automation to scale systems sustainably and prevent or mitigate service issues. Partner with development teams to enhance reliability, observability, and release velocity. Participate in on‑call rotations, incident response, post‑incident reviews, and root‑cause analysis. Promote strong engineering practices to build, deploy and operate high‑performance services. Act as a key enabler for Cloud migration, working with operations and engineering teams from project inception through to operational readiness. Conduct architectural reviews, support operational acceptance testing, and configure Datadog dashboards and metrics. Experience with DevOps or operating highly available distributed systems, strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, etc.), understanding of Linux and cloud environments, and knowledge of working with financial trading systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python. Experience with relational databases and SQL. Experience with Infrastructure as Code. Experience in observability practices with logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting. Hands‑on experience with one of the following cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Kubernetes.
