Mignosi's Super Foodtown, a beloved, family-owned supermarket operating in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania for over 30 years, is seeking a friendly, highly motivated Full-Time Supermarket Cook to join its culinary and deli team. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking: Follow designated store recipes to measure, mix, and prepare high-quality hot and cold entres. Daily duties include baking, grilling, frying, steaming, and boiling meats, poultry, fish, and vegetables. Merchandising & Presentation: Set up, garnish, and arrange final dishes in the hot and cold food display cases early in the morning to ensure an appealing look for daytime shoppers. Inventory & Quality Control: Manage kitchen inventory quantities, ensuring all ingredients are fresh, rotated properly, and meet strict food safety and corporate guidelines. Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain an exceptionally clean, safe, and sanitized workspace, including the thorough washing and handling of utensils, heavy equipment, and dishes. Customer Service & Collaboration: Occasionally serve food directly to guests at the counter while upholding the store's customer service pledge. Maintain full cooperation with the Head Chef, store supervisors, and fellow department staff.

Position Requirements & Schedule Experience: Prior kitchen, catering, or supermarket deli experience is highly preferred. Physical Stamina: The role demands significant physical activity, including walking or standing for the duration of a shift, reaching, bending, and regularly lifting kitchen inventory up to 35 pounds (and occasionally up to 50 pounds). Schedule: Daily operations lean heavily toward morning shifts, where the bulk of food prep, cutting, wrapping, and case setups are completed early.
