Job Description:

The Inventory Assistant is responsible for frontline support of supply chain logistics working with the customer to assure product delivery within the needed timeframe.

• Pick-up and deliver items to the appropriate locations.
• Unload and verify incoming shipments and restock shelves as needed.
• Maintain daily activity logs.
• Par level and fill requisitions for departments throughout the organization.
• Maintain inventories by utilizing the materials management tools provided.
• Conducts physical/cycle count as scheduled.
• Maintains a neat, clean, safe work environment by using good storage techniques, rotating inventory and proper disposal of hazardous waste.
• Practice safe driving skills while complying with all transportation regulations.
• Supports moves, transport equipment and files to the warehouse for storage and ongoing management.
• Maintains a clean and safe vehicle, reporting any vehicle problems.
• Properly handle and store products to protect integrity.
• Uses proper lifting and loading techniques using the tools provided to support the task.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
• Customer service and/or inventory control experience.

Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand required requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
