HVAC Technician

HVAC Service TechnicianA well-established mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to support and help grow its commercial service operations throughout Northern Nevada. This position combines hands-on HVAC service work with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility as the company's regional service presence continues to expand.The ideal candidate has strong commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, can independently troubleshoot complex equipment, and is comfortable working directly with customers while supporting the development of a growing service operation.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systemsDiagnose complex equipment and system issues and provide effective solutionsPerform service work in accordance with federal, state, and local requirementsSupport the continued growth of commercial service operations throughout Northern NevadaAssist with recruiting, training, and mentoring HVAC technicians as the local team expandsCoordinate materials, tools, equipment, and jobsite readinessParticipate in customer walkthroughs and scope reviewsProvide technical input for proposals and estimatesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with commercial customersMonitor service work for schedule, budget, quality, and profitabilityMaintain strong jobsite safety standardsAssist with after-hours service calls when requiredTravel throughout Northern Nevada to support customer locations and projectsRequirements5+ years of progressive HVAC service experienceStrong knowledge of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systemsStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilitiesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawingsAbility to estimate labor and material requirementsExperience helping lead, train, or mentor field technicians preferredExperience supporting the launch or expansion of a service operation is a strong plusStrong customer service and communication skillsSelf-motivated and comfortable working independentlyValid driver's license with a clean driving record requiredOSHA 30, EPA Universal, or NATE certification preferredWillingness to travel throughout Northern NevadaCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experienceCompany-provided vehicle for regional travelComprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) retirement plan with employer matchPaid holidays, vacation, and sick leaveLong-term growth as the Northern Nevada service operation expandsOpportunity to take on increased leadership responsibility within a respected mechanical contractor
