Surgical Tech

3 days a week, 12.5 hours, 7am-8p. Also, included in the 3 days is 1 weekend shift every 4 weeks. Responsibilities Assist in the care of the surgical patient. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. Has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Follows instructions of Physicians and RN closely, adhering to established hospital policies related to the Operating Room. Maintains a safe environment in accordance with hospital polices and regulatory agencies. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program required. Certification through NCCT or NBSTSA required. 1-2 years of experience as a Scrub Tech in a Hospital Setting preferred.
