ICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our healthcare team. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, specifically in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).Position OverviewFull-time hours with a guarantee of 36 hours per week.Shifts: 12-hour shifts, with rotating days and nights (0645-1915 and 1845-0715).Weekend requirement: every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.Holidays: Required to work holidays as part of the permanent staff rotation.Unit InformationUnit Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)Bed Capacity: Licensed for 44 beds, currently utilizing 36 beds.Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:1 depending on patient acuity.Common Diagnoses: Cardiac, PCI, Open Heart, Sepsis, Stroke, and other critical conditions.Advanced monitoring capabilities with 44 hardwired GE monitors.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV drips such as vasopressors, nitroglycerin, and heparin.Participate in patient assessments, planning, evaluation, and documentation through the Cerner PowerChart EMR system.Collaborate with healthcare team members, including intensivists and hospitalists, who are available on-site 24/7.Assist with ventilated patients and other complex medical procedures.Float to Telemetry and Emergency Room as required for ICU holds.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience required.Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. CCRN certification is preferred.Previous experience in a large institution is desirable.Strong commitment to patient satisfaction and quality care is essential.Orientation & TrainingOne day of unit orientation in the ICU.One shift of cross-training on the Telemetry/stepdown unit.Additional NotesNo nurse aides are available; unit techs assist with secretary and equipment duties.RT and Pharmacy services are available 24/7.If you are an experienced ICU Registered Nurse looking to make a difference in critical patient care, we encourage you to apply.
