PAY RANGE

The base pay for this Job Family generally ranges between $22 - $26/hr. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.

Assist in maintaining an efficient work environment and meeting productivity standards. Resolve scheduling conflicts and routine problems in the work unit as they arise and participate in Team Member training sessions as needed. Reporting Relationships: Job Reports To: Operations Supervisor Direct Reports: None Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Perform the functions of the work unit, which typically includes one or more of the following areas: Manufacturing of production parts including machine set-up and operation Packaging of gasket sets including set-up, assembly, and bundling Distribution of gasket sets including picking, aggregating, consolidating, sealing, loading and shipping. Provide first response to work area problems. Document problems, resolve when possible and follow-up with appropriate individual or group to ensure the problem is corrected in a timely fashion. Serve as 'go to' person for production-related and process-related issues that slow down the workflow. Assign work and coordinate job assignments based on daily production needs and scheduled staff. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. May participate in daily production and shift change meetings. Maintain and organize maintenance, time and production records. Prepare reports on attendance, productivity, quality and safety. Enter data into designated workbooks designed, and amended periodically, by the Operations Supervisor. May need to utilize and manipulate some MS Access queries to get specific information. Monitor potential safety issues and immediately alert Operations Supervisor of unsafe conditions or events hazardous to the environment. Suggest ways to improve work area safety and lead by example in adhering to safety standards at all times. Capitalize on cross‑training opportunities to increase the knowledge of all employees in all areas of operations (in consultation with the Operations Supervisor). Perform other tasks and assignments that are consistent with knowledge and training. Job Requirements: Education: Successful completion of high school highly preferred but not required. Skill Requirements: Associate Level Strong communication skills. Ability to prioritize work to meet daily work requirements. Knowledge of the work area to perform same work as those coached. Demonstrated computer skills Ability to coach and train for basic job performance improvements Typically, entry level - 2 years of experience. Core Level Associate Skills plus: Basic knowledge of all DRIV manufacturing processes to move from one area of the manufacturing facility to another as needed. Demonstrated ability to recognize and coach/train for basic job performance improvements Ability to adapt to changing requirements and expectations. Typically, 2 - 4 years of experience. Senior Level Associate & Core Skills plus: Advanced knowledge of all DRIV manufacturing processes to move from one area of the manufacturing facility to another as needed. Leadership experience to provide guidance to a large work unit of more than one work unit. Typically, 4+ years of experience. Note: Experience for each level will vary somewhat and depends on Apprenticeship requirements for the sub-categories requiring such training. Addendum: Specifics for Area Worked Position Summary Maintaining a balanced mix, (1) assists Operations Supervisor in coordinating and overseeing the activities of workers engaged in the manufacturing/packaging/distribution of product, maintenance of production machines and facilities or tool making on a shift or in a designated work unit, and (2) knowledgeable about all functions involved in the manufacturing/packaging/distribution/maintenance/tool making processes of the work unit and competent to perform most, if not all, of those functions. Essential duties & responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned) Identifies and troubleshoots tooling, material, process and equipment problems; may perform statistical process control checks and other quality-related measures. Makes minor repairs on various machines; refers extensive machine repairs to maintenance personnel. Assigns workers to work stations to meet production requirements. Monitors production and adjusts work assignments as necessary. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules (in consultation with Operations Supervisor). Follows the QMS requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions. Interprets process specifications for workers; serves as 'go to' person for production-related and process-related concerns. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Participates in, leads and organizes meetings including shift change, safety and team meetings.
