Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Duration: 16 weeks preferred, but will accept 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Cardiac/CVICU ICU experience required License: Pending License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Cardiac/CVICU ICU experience Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a position in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The role requires high acuity Critical Care Unit experience. The start date is within 3-4 weeks based on compliance requirements. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. Experience in ICU, ventilator management, arterial line management, and pulmonary artery catheter management is essential. Familiarity with pacemakers, impellas, balloon pumps, and LVADs is required. Candidates should be adept in managing acute heart failure, CHF exacerbation, fluid overload, post-cardiac arrest situations, complete heart block, and cardiogenic shock. Knowledge of pre-heart transplant procedures, arrhythmias, ventricular tachycardia, and vasoactive drips is necessary. Central line management, PA/TVP catheter monitoring, dialysis, and foley care are part of the job responsibilities. The candidate must be able to manage intra-aortic balloon pumps and LVADs. All applicants will need to pass an EKG exam for compliance. The facility offers a supportive environment with interdisciplinary teams. The daily unit census is approximately 14 patients with a total of 20 beds. The Registered Nurse will float within the service line as necessary. Weekend shifts are required, specifically every other weekend. No new requests for time off will be accepted after submission. This is a travel position; local candidates are not accepted within the defined radius. Compliance requirements must be met prior to the start of employment. All candidates are expected to follow the guidelines and fulfill their signed agreement in full.
