Financial Controller

Raque Food Systems is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to oversee the company's financial, accounting, tax compliance and cash-management operations. This leadership position will manage a small accounting team and partner closely with the President, Vice President and department heads to track custom-project profitability, manage long-term contract revenue recognition and optimize working capital. Reports to: President and Vice President Supervises: Accounting and Finance Team Requirements and Qualifications: Experience: Five to eight or more years of progressive accounting experience Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field Certifications: CPA or CMA Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with ERP software and expert-level Excel skills Communication Skills: Ability to clearly translate complex financial metrics to engineering, manufacturing and other non-financial teams Key Responsibilities: Company and Project Accounting Accounting Practices: Develop, implement and manage accounting and finance procedures, reports, tasks and policies as part of the company's new ERP implementation. Financial Management and Reporting Financial Statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Cash Flow Forecasting: Maintain rolling cash-flow forecasts that account for unique billing cycles, milestone payments and significant upfront project-material costs. Internal Controls and Leadership Team Supervision: Directly manage and mentor a lean accounting staff handling accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), billing, and payroll. ERP System Maintenance: Oversee the financial module of the company's ERP system to ensure smooth tracking from engineering bill of materials (BOM) to final invoice. Create and maintain documentation on all processes and procedures. Audit & Compliance: Coordinate with external CPA firms for year-end tax preparation and financial reviews or audits. Bank Communications: Communications with bank regarding financing, treasury management, 401(K) administration, merchant services and foreign currency transfers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
