Job Title: Senior Technology Recruiter (IC) Location: Manhattan, New York (Onsite) Hawkwood is partnering with one of the world's most successful hedge funds to hire a Senior Technology Recruiter into a high-performing talent team in New York. This is a senior individual contributor role with responsibility for hiring across core engineering, including infrastructure, cloud, networking and storage, as well as post-trade engineering. Working closely with senior technical leadership, you will act as a strategic advisor on how the firm identifies, attracts and hires exceptional engineering talent. The market for elite engineers has never been more competitive. The strongest candidates are weighing opportunities from frontier AI labs and category-defining technology companies alongside leading hedge funds. Success in this role requires knowing where to find talent others cannot, building long-term relationships and networks, and creating a compelling case for exceptional engineers to join the firm. What you will be doing: Own end-to-end recruiting for core and post-trade engineering hires within a globally recognised hedge fund Develop a deep personal network of exceptional engineering talent, including candidates beyond the obvious and well-trodden talent pools Build and manage relationships with specialist search firms and other external partners Partner closely with senior engineering leadership to align hiring strategy with business needs Advise, influence and constructively challenge stakeholders on process, pipeline and hiring decisions Represent the firm's employer proposition credibly against frontier AI labs, leading technology companies and other firms competing for the same talent What they are looking for: 7 to 10 years of recruiting experience, ideally within technology, financial services, fintech, quantitative finance or frontier AI A strong personal network and demonstrable track record of sourcing and engaging senior technical talent Evidence of finding exceptional candidates outside conventional or heavily targeted talent pools Confidence engaging with and influencing senior technical stakeholders Comfortable operating autonomously within a lean, high-performing environment Strong financial and commercial acumen We recognise how challenging the current market is, and we are committed to providing a consistent and fair experience for all applicants. #J-18808-Ljbffr Hawkwood
