Job Summary


The part-time Barista/Catering assistant position assists with all Coffee bar duties including cashiers work and beverage making. This position will also assist with aspects of on-site catered events from set-up to break-down. Assistants provide exceptional customer service and work as part of the Cafe @ Rio team.


Essential Functions


25% - Operates cash register and prepares reports on cash transactions
25% - Prepares hot and cold beverages to order
20% - Preps equipment and beverages for catering events
20% - Set-up and break-down of on-campus catered events
10% - Cleaning. Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications


A. Ability to work as a team player and individually
B. Experience providing exceptional customer service
C. Experience in a food and beverage setting


Special Working Conditions


Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds; requires a food handler's card/certificate or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire. All preferred candidates must complete a background check before employment.
